The stem is straight, thick, glabrous, arched, up to 2 m high.The leaves are triangular in outline, double- or triple-pinnately dissected, with oblong, ovate or lanceolate sharp-toothed segments of the last order. Violet “belts” at the origin of the petioles of the lateral segments are very characteristic.The central umbels are large, strongly convex, with 15–35 short-pubescent rays. The petals are white or pinkish on the outside. Blooms in July - early August.The fruit is compressed from the back, brown, 4-6 mm long.
