Participant profile

When creating an account, a participant chooses a role. They may also voluntarily provide a display name, country of residence and nationality. These fields help us understand coverage and improve localization; they are private by default. A verified participant may separately opt in to the participant directory, which shows only their display name and self-selected role. It never shows email, nationality, country of residence, organization membership, contacts or account activity.

You can change or clear these fields at any time in your account: choose “Prefer not to say” to remove a country or nationality, and choose “Leave public directory” to stop being listed immediately.

We keep participant-profile information while the account is active, unless a longer period is needed for a valid security, support or legal record.

Public and private data

Approved organization profiles and published listings are public. Personal collections and participant-profile fields are private by default; the consent-based participant directory is initially excluded from search indexing. Credentials and production configuration never belong in browser storage or the repository.

Operational records

Audit, notification, moderation and approved project-work records are retained for security, support and legal obligations. AI agents used by the Seedexchange team connect only with tokens issued by a platform administrator; they work on the internal team board, their changes are recorded under the agent's name, and they cannot read participant nationality or country fields or publish directory records.
